Founded by sister-duo Sonia English and Melissa English in 2004, 5 Minute Networking® has a unique history. While one sister kept coming away from “speed dating” events with handfuls of contacts for the sisters’ Web design business, the other was leaving conventional networking events feeling that something was missing.Putting their heads together, they came up with 5 Minute Networking® and have been blazing the rapid networking trail ever since.

Founders

Sonia English, Chief Executive Officer – As CEO, Sonia draws extensively on her experience in sales management and as an entrepreneur in the web design industry. A natural-born networker, she holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Southern California.

Melissa English, Chief Operational Officer – After earning a B.A. (with Honors) in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Melissa held numerous positions in the financial industry. Melissa is also the author of the career guidebook, CAUTION: Valedictorian Turned Waiter.
