Founded in 2004, 5 Minute Networking combines speed dating and networking meetings into an efficient, effective and fun means for making business contacts. The company stages networking events using a proprietary Event Facilitation Software program that enables participants to meet up to 20 people one on one in five-minute increments. It surpassed the 1 million-member mark last year.

Nationwide organizations and Chambers of commerce have tapped into the program, licensing the software for their own uses.

This year, the founders are launching My5MinuteNetworking, an online community that allows members and conference attendees to view profiles of others who attended the same event. It includes automated lead generation and enables individuals to connect their own profiles to all participating organizations in which they hold memberships.

5 Minute Networking continues to receive wide-spread press coverage, with the Chamber Executives Network Newsletter in December and an upcoming article in Working Mother Magazine.
