New Program Helps to Make Quick, Quality Leads

5 Minute Networking, a new program being launched by GLI in January, will offer an exciting and fast-paced environment for building strategic business relationships. Formatted similarly to “speed dating,” each one-hour 5 Minute Networking session gives attendees the opportunity to meet 10 contacts in timed face-to-face conversations.
A unique registration system allows 5 Minute Networking attendees to indicate preferred industries they are targeting. As often as possible, attendees are then matched up with other attendees from those business sectors.
Another interesting aspect of the program is that attendees can log onto 5minutenetworking.com and view “People I’ve Met” with the contact details of the individuals they met during the program. Monthly 5 Minute Networking sessions are being planned for 2007.
“Members depend on GLI to help them build their professional networks,” said Carlos Phillips, GLI Vice President of Membership and Investor Development. “The 5 Minute Networking program delivers an extremely targeted and effective networking experience. Other chambers are having great success with this program and we expect GLI will, too.”
The first 5 Minute Networking session of 2007 scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, sold out quickly. A second session has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 12. Cost to attend is $20 for GLI members and $35 for non-members. Register at 625-0156 or Networking@GreaterLouisville.com
