The 5 Minute Solution to your New Year’s Resolution!

POWERnews Winter 2006

The fulfillment of most New Year’s resolutions requires large amounts of will power and a fair investment of time. 5 Minute Networking is the exception, by providing a fast and easy solution to networking for business.

Often referred to as the business-equivalent of “speed dating,” 5 Minute Networking lets individuals meet each other one-on-one in five-minute increments, resulting in a fast-paced, exciting networking experience. The synergy is palpable!

5 Minute Networking provides a forum where business people are guaranteed to meet a significant number of contacts in a short period of time. The concept can be applied to a wide variety of situations, including team building, theme presentation, brainstorming and conflict resolution.

5 Minute Networking, a California-based company, is leading a rapid networking resolution by licensing its system for not only business networking, but to build relationships within companies and organizations and to jump-start productivity at conferences, meetings and trade shows.

The hugely successful 5 Minute Networking patent-pending Event Facilitation Software program has given everyone from alumni associations to chambers of commerce the ability to run their own 5 Minute Networking events. The software not only greatly benefits the attendees by optimizing their introductions, but also allows the event facilitator to host a 5 Minute Networking event with ease.

The event facilitation software assures that participants meet new people at every event and enjoy targeted introductions. It also enables them to view the contact details of those they met online, thus creating their own personal “yellow pages.”

The Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark, Ohio has incorporated the 5 Minute Networking concept into its Meeting Initiatives program, and MPI’s MidAmerica Conference will feature it as a value-added event on April 19 in Nashville.

PCMA members are invited to attend a special 5 Minute Networking event on the evening of April 18, 2006 at the Hilton Columbus in Easton Town Center. Co-sponsored by the Hilton and Meeting Professionals Ohio (MPI) Ohio, the evening function will feature the co-founders of 5 Minute Networking, Sonia and Melissa English. Attendees will have the opportunity to interface with selected hospitality industry planners, suppliers and other community business representatives in pre-scheduled five-minute increments. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be provided. More details will follow in upcoming newsletters.
